This 3-day training provides you with the tools, strategies and materials you will need as Lands Managers to understand the basics of Geographic Information Systems, and how this technology could be implemented and used in your organization and your community. The training provides you with a hands-on learning experience to teach you the basics of GIS for Lands Management.

Sponsorship: Maximum $3,000 per First Nation. As space is limited, only one representative per First Nation will be accepted. Registrations will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
Mandatory Assignment for Introduction to GIS Training
To register for the Introduction to Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for Lands Managers Toolkit Training, please follow the steps outlined below:
- Complete the mandatory assignment, which includes a PDF, PowerPoint presentation, and a Zip file for download.
- Once you have completed the assignment, go to the registration link where you can upload your completed assignment using the file upload section.
- After uploading your assignment, you can proceed with your registration.

Please note: Completion of this assignment is mandatory in order to proceed with registration for this training.

Mandatory Virtual Meeting:
Successful applicants will be required to attend a mandatory virtual meeting two weeks before the training. During this meeting, we will discuss projections and conduct a general check-in to help prepare participants for the course.
