Environment Unit

Objectives

  • Develop new tools and resources related to environmental management
  • Provide training for Indigenous Nations, including land managers, environment officers and others responsible for environmental management on reserve lands and traditional territories
  • Deliver workshops and presentations at conferences and events
  • Monitor amendments and new legislation related to environmental management on federal lands
  • Collaborate with NALMA’s Regional Associations, government partners and others to promote sound environmental management
  • Provide linkages to expertise and networking for those working in the Indigenous environmental sector
