Contaminated Sites Management
This toolkit was developed by NALMA as a practical aid for First Nations’ use in Contaminated Site Management. The evidence shows that a high percentage of First Nations face contamination challenges. While most have been dealt with and resolved, many still require attention. The goals of this toolkit are to provide key information to Land Managers to ensure they support compliancy with the relevant environmental laws with respect to toxins and contamination and to provide tools and information for Land Managers to be able to assess, address and manage contamination on their lands.
Date: January 16-18, 2024 (2.5 days)
Location: Toronto, ON
Registration Deadline: December 29th, 2023
Sponsorship: Maximum $3,000 per First Nation. This training session can accommodate 20 Land Managers. As space is limited, only one representative per First Nation will be accepted. Registrations will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
