Introduction to Land Management for Chief & Council
The National Aboriginal Lands Managers Association (NALMA) is pleased to offer Introduction to Land Management for Chief and Council. This virtual workshop is designed to bridge the roles and responsibilities of Chief and Council and the land management office by building on experience and best practices for land management on reserve lands. The content of the workshop focusses on the process, legal structure, fiduciary, and ethical obligations of the Chief and Council. It explores the legal and administrative setting that Council and the land management staff works within i.e., laws, bylaws, regulations, resolutions of Council, laws of general application and community standards.
