Introduction to GIS for Land Managers – Rasters
This introductory course gives land managers a practical foundation in understanding, visualizing, and analyzing raster data in QGIS. Participants will work hands-on with DEMs, land cover, hill shades, and terrain models to support real-world tasks like site selection, environmental review, and community planning. You’ll learn essential raster tools, conversions, map algebra, and techniques for combining raster datasets to support clear, data-driven decisions. Ideal for land offices building GIS capacity land use planning, and natural resource management.
